T20 WORLD CUP SUPER 8: INDIA AND AUSTRALIA'S PATH TO SEMI FINAL QUALIFICATION

NEW DELHI: The Indian cricket team has secured two consecutive victories in the Super 8 round of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, but their progression to the semi-finals is not yet guaranteed. To ensure their spot in the knockout stage, India must either win their final match against Australia or avoid a significant loss.

If Australia triumphs over the Rohit Sharma-led squad and Afghanistan secures a resounding win against Bangladesh, there is a possibility of India's elimination from the international competition.

If Australia beat India by 41 runs and Afghanistan beat Bangladesh by 81 runs, India will be knocked out of the World Cup.

Thus far in the second round, India has achieved decisive wins against Afghanistan and Bangladesh.

Meanwhile, Australia has recorded a victory against Bangladesh but suffered a defeat at the hands of the Rashid Khan-led Afghanistan team.

Afghanistan faced a loss against India but managed to overcome Australia.

Bangladesh has been on the losing end in both of their matches.

If Australia lose to India by 55 runs and Bangladesh beat Afghanistan by 31 runs, the Tigers will qualify.
