SDT 18: AISHWARYA LEKSHMI TO PLAY THE FEMALE LEAD ALONGSIDE SAI DHARAM TEJ IN HIGH ACTION DRAMA
Actor Sai Dharam Tej after a small one year hiatus has signed up for his next tentatively titled 'SDT 18'. Taking to social media a couple of days back, the actor said that his next is a high action drama and it is a pan India project that will be directed by debutant Rohit KP.
It has now been confirmed that actress Aishwarya Lekshmi will play the female lead in the film. The producers revealed that the film is a period drama set in the period of 1947 - 1967 and describes the events and narratives that unfold in the Rayalaseema.
The poster of the film was recently launched, and the actor took to social media to caption it, "My Next SDT18. This one will be more than special. Need all your love and blessings." The announcement poster features a small tree with the caption, "The land that is longing for his arrival. He'll ascend from the depths." The film is a Rs 100 crore project and it will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
Actor Sai Dharam Tej is said to play a formidable character in the film and the shooting is soon said to begin as the pre-production work is underway and a massive set is being specially constructed for the project.
Meanwhile, Sai Dharam Tej also has the film 'Ganja Shankar' in the pipeline that is temporarily shelved after the court ordered the makers to change the film title and the narrative as it promotes drug usage.
