SURIYA AND BOBBY DEOL STARRER ‘KANGUVA’ GETS A RELEASE DATE; THE ACTIONER TO LOCK HORNS WITH ALIA BHATT STARRER 'JIGRA'

It’s official! Suriya’s highly anticipated actioner, ‘Kanguva’ is gearing up for release. The makers of the film have finally locked its release date. ‘Kanguva’ will hit the theatres on October 10, 2024.

On Thursday, January 27, evening Suriya took to his social media handle to announce the release of his passionate film ‘Kanguva’. In a note shared on X (formerly Twitter), Suriya said, “Dear all It’s 10th October 2024 #KanguvaFromOct10.” The note was accompanied by an intense poster. ‘Kanguva’ will be released in 3D and IMAX formats.

Interestingly, Suriya’s ‘Kanguva’ will be locking horns with Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Jigra’ at the box office. The film is directed by Vasan Balam, who is best known for helming 'Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota'. The upcoming film also has 'The Archies' actor Vedang Raina. 'Jigra' is touted to be a drama revolving around the bond between siblings. 'Jigra' is slated for release on October 11.

Directed by Siva, ‘Kanguva’ is said to be a fantasy film based on the concept of time travel. The upcoming film features Suriya in a double role. Bollywood star Bobby Deol has roped in to play a crucial role in the film. ‘Kanguva’ also has Disha Patani playing an important role. Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, Ravi Raghavendra, KS Ravikumar, and BS Avinash are also part of the cast.

The makers had earlier unveiled a teaser, which gave the audience a sneak peek into the magnificent world of Kanguva. Adi Narayana is the writer and the dialogues are crafted by Madan Karky.

On the technical front, Vetri Palanisamy is the director of photography. Nishad Yusuf is the editor. The music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad. The art department is handled by Milan. The action choreography is done by Supreme Sundar. The announcement of the release date has thrilled the movie buffs and the fans of Suriya alike.
