BTS' JIN SHARES POST-MILITARY PLANS; RULES OUT ACTING CAREER

BTS' Jin, fresh from completing his military service, took to the fan community platform Weverse on July 30, to update fans on his post-service activities and upcoming plans. Despite having just a single day of rest since his discharge, Jin disclosed that he has already delved into filming for variety shows and is meticulously working through a checklist of personal goals he formulated during his time in the military.

Addressing eager fans, Jin urged patience as he teased forthcoming broadcasts and music releases that he's been diligently preparing. Notably, he clarified that he has no intentions of venturing into acting, setting the record straight on his career aspirations beyond BTS. Looking ahead, Jin's update comes amidst anticipation for all BTS members to complete their mandatory military service by July 2025, with J-Hope being the next in line for discharge.

However earlier, Jin made headlines for an unfortunate incident during BTS' '2024 FESTA' event, where he organized a hug event for 1,000 fans as a heartfelt gesture of gratitude for their support during his military service. While the majority of fans participated respectfully, a few individuals' inappropriate actions, including attempted kisses without consent, sparked outrage among global fans.

In response to these incidents, the Seoul Songpa Police Station has initiated a preliminary investigation into allegations of sexual harassment stemming from the event, underscoring the complexities and challenges of maintaining boundaries in fan interactions within the K-pop fandom.
