SIDHARTH MALHOTRA REQUESTS FANS TO EXERCISE CAUTION AFTER FAN GETS SCAMMED FOR RS 50 LAKH: ‘YOUR TRUST AND SAFETY ARE MY TOP PRIORITIES’

After a fan accused alleged admins of a fan page for Sidharth Malhotra of scamming her out of Rs 50 lakh, the actor took to social media to release a statement clarifying that neither he nor his family supports such actions. He urged his fans to exercise caution and report any fraudulent activities spreading false information.

His statement read, "It has been brought to my attention that certain fraudulent activities/scams have been circulating on various social media platforms, allegedly claiming to be associated with or in relation to me, my family and people claiming to be my fans and seeking money."

It further read, "I want to assure everyone reading this that neither I nor my family or team support any of this. I urge all of you to exercise caution when dealing with such matters. If you receive any suspicious requests, report them to the appropriate authorities and avoid spreading false information. My fans have always been my biggest strength and your trust and safety are my top priorities. Big Love and Hug!"

Sid's statement followed accusations from a fan named Minoo Vasudeva based in the US who claimed on X that she had been deceived by two individuals, Aliza and Husna Parveen. According to Vasudeva, they fabricated stories about Sidharth Malhotra's life being in danger due to his wife, actor Kiara Advani. She further said that Aliza had solicited financial assistance from her to 'save Sid.'

Vasudeva shared chats with the accused and wrote, "Dear @sidmalhotra & all Sidians, My name is Minoo Vasudevan from USA. There is a serious incident you all should know about admins Aliza & Husna Parveen, @sidmalhotra.updates. Between October 2023 to December 2023, they stole 50 lakhs from me. Between October 18th-24th 2023, they stole 10.5K rupees from my friend in UK, Maariya. Disclaimer: Some chats & evidence during this time have been deleted. However, I have crucial ones as evidence.”

Sidharth was last seen in Karan Johar's Yodha.
