TEAM INDIA'S RETURN LIKELY TO GET AFFECTED AS BERYL STRENGTHENS INTO CATEGORY 4 HURRICANE NEAR SOUTHEAST CARIBBEAN

The Indian team’s return is likely to get affected due to Hurricane Beryl, which is expected to make landfall by Monday morning. Beryl, the first hurricane of the 2024 Atlantic season, is expected to have devastating consequences once it makes landfall in Barbados.

The Indian team is currently at the island nation of Barbados after claiming victory over the T20 World Cup 2024 on Saturday, 29 June. The team is likely to extend their stay at the island to opt for more safety.

Beryl on Sunday evening intensified to an extremely dangerous Category 4 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 130 mph Sunday morning, as it makes its way toward the Windward Islands.

According to CNN, the early timing of the season’s first hurricane is unusual, given the average date for the first hurricane is August 11. As of 11 am ET, Hurricane Beryl was about 355 miles east-southeast of Barbados, heading west.
