BRIDGERTON SEASON 3 ACCUMULATES 91.9 MILLION VIEWS, BECOMES NETFLIX’S 10TH BIGGEST ENGLISH LANGUAGE SERIES

Season 3 of “Bridgerton” has solidified its place among Netflix’s most popular shows of all time.

Since its premiere on May 16, the latest season has amassed an impressive 91.9 million views, earning it the No. 10 spot on Netflix’s all-time English-language TV chart. Netflix measures these rankings based on the number of views within the first 91 days of a title’s release. As of June 30, only 45 days into its release, “Bridgerton” Season 3 continues to gain traction and is expected to climb even higher.

The swift success of “Bridgerton” Season 3 is noteworthy, considering it could have achieved this milestone even faster. Due to the season being released in two parts, it wasn’t eligible for the Most Popular list until June 13, when the final four episodes were made available. This resulted in a reset of its viewership count, as Netflix calculates views by dividing total stream time by the runtime. Remarkably, by June 9, the first four episodes alone had garnered 88.9 million views, which was already sufficient to secure a spot on the chart.

In comparison, “Bridgerton” Season 2 ranks as the ninth most popular English-language series with 93.8 million views in its first 91 days, closely following “Stranger Things” Season 3, the limited series “Fool Me Once,” and “The Night Agent” Season 1. Given its current trajectory, “Bridgerton” Season 3 is poised to surpass at least one of these titles soon. Season 1 of “Bridgerton” holds a higher position at No. 4 with 113.3 million views, and it remains possible that Season 3 could surpass this by the end of its 91-day period. The previous holder of the No. 10 spot was “Baby Reindeer,” which entered the chart following the June 3-9 viewing window and remains within its initial 91 days of streaming.

During the June 24-30 viewing window, “Bridgerton” Season 3 was the most-watched TV show, accumulating 6.6 million views, although it was outperformed by four movies.

The most-watched title on Netflix that week was “A Family Affair,” a romance featuring Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron, which garnered 26.8 million views in its first three days. It was followed by “Trigger Warning,” the top movie from the previous week with 26.3 million views, and the 1997 thriller “Kiss the Girls,” which received 7.1 million views upon its addition to Netflix. On the non-English-language movies chart, “Inheritance” remained at No. 1 for the second week with 8.2 million views.

In the English-language TV category, “Supacell” debuted at No. 2 with 6.4 million views in its first four days, while Season 2 of “Worst Roommate Ever” garnered 5.7 million views in five days. “America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders” climbed from No. 8 to No. 4 with 3.7 million views.
