The viral video begins with a passenger making a video of the roof leaking and the seats drenched. “Tell everyone in your college! No body should be travelling…..,” a woman says in the video. Soon after the video grabbed attention, the official handle of Northern Railway shared an update and cited “temporary blockage of pipes” as the reason behind the leakage. “Slight water leakage was observed in coach because of temporary blockage of pipes! The same was attended and rectified by the staff on the train. The inconvenience caused is regretted,” the handle wrote.

Shared on July 2, the video amassed over 23,000 views as social media users slammed the Ministry of Railway for the poor management of trains. Reacting to it, a user wrote, “When you pay the full amount for the ticket, the railway will provide AC as well as a waterfall.”
