HEAVY RAINS LIKELY TO HIT DELHI, IMD PREDICTS GUSTY WINDS, THUNDERSTORMS

The national capital has recorded no rainfall in the last 24 hours, however, the  Met Department has predicted heavy rainfall at isolated places over Delhi during the next 24 hours.

On Monday morning, the minimum temperature settled at 28.4 degrees Celsius in Delhi, 0.5 notches above the season’s average.

According to the Regional Meteorological Centre Delhi, moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds are likely to hit the national capital and its adjoining areas of NCR.

“Thunderstorm with moderate to heavy intensity rain and gusty winds with speed of 30-40 Km/h would occur over and adjoining areas of ( Ayanagar, Deramandi), NCR ( Gurugram, Manesar),” stated the met department.

According to the Met Department, light to moderate downpours are also likely over Mundaka, Jafarpur, and Nazafgarh in Delhi and Bahadurgarh, Gurugram, and Manesar in the NCR region.
