CBI SEEKS JUDICIAL CUSTODY OF ARVIND KEJRIWAL IN TRIAL COURT HEARING IN DELHI LIQUOR POLICY CASE

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was produced at Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court on Saturday as his three-day custody under the CBI came to an end. During the court hearing, the central investigative agency has again sought for judicial remand of the AAP supremo in connection to the liquor policy case.

However, the court reserved its order on the matter on Saturday afternoon.

Kejriwal was arrested by the central agency in connection with the liquor policy case on Wednesday.

Earlier, the CBI had sought five days of remand, but was granted three, after claiming that Kejriwal’s custody was necessary to confront him with evidence and documents in the case.

The agency has also alleged that Kejriwal had implicated former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, attributing the idea of privatisation to him.
