'UNHINDERED, UNFILTERED, UNDAUNTED': RAHUL GANDHI LAUNCHES EMAIL ID TO REACH OUT TO PEOPLE

Amid the controversy surrounding Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi's speech, the Raebareli MP launched an email ID on Tuesday to connect with people. This comes after the expunging of several parts of his speech from the Lok Sabha's record. The removed portions included comments on Hindus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP, and the RSS.

"Unhindered, unfiltered, undaunted - a free and fair conversation is the strength of our democracy! I am here to speak with you, listen to you, and facilitate the true expression of the idea of India. For all Communication related enquiries, including: - Media interviews - Social Media platforms - Off the record meetings Please email me at [email protected]," Gandhi wrote in an X post.

This announcement came hours after parts of Gandhi's first address as the LoP in Lok Sabha were expunged. At the start of his speech, the Congress MP showed a copy of the Constitution and a photo of Lord Shiva while criticising the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Gandhi's comments equating BJP with Hindus led to strong protests from BJP MPs and prompted an intervention from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM Modi interrupted Gandhi, saying, "Accusing the entire Hindu community of violence is a very serious allegation". The Congress clarified that Gandhi was only referring to the BJP and not the entire Hindu community.

Home Minister Amit Shah demanded an apology from Gandhi for associating the BJP with violence. Shah objected to Gandhi's comparison of "violent Hindus" with the BJP and insisted that the Congress leader issue an apology.
