WWE LEGEND ACCUSES TONY KHAN OF BURYING AEW STAR; SAYS TRIPLE H WOULD GET THE BEST OUT OF THE WRESTLER

Former WWE superstar, Matt Morgan, has accused AEW president Tony Khan of burying Ricky Starks. The AEW star has not made a single appearance since the end of March. During his last match, he lost to Dante and Darius, which led to Starks losing his only shot at the AEW World Tag Team title.

Moreover, the company has also ended the partnership between Big Bill and Ricky Starks. The decision came following some talk suggesting that Starks showed no interest in the creative pitch for his return. Since then, fans have begun to speculate whether it was the harsh promo segment between him and Adam Copeland that is the cause of all these issues. Matt Morgan also believes this to be the case.

Morgan Matt believes Tony Khan is wasting Ricky Starks

Morgan Matt doubled down on his thoughts on the Ricky Starks situation while speaking on the Gigantic Pop podcast. Let's take a look at what he had to say:

“Tony or the others in the locker room that are in leadership positions, probably all like, Oh, here's your chance to bury Ricky”

“I think, Ricky Starks is a big star and this company has done a terrible job of getting him there. Ricky Starks if you're watching this, leave”

Morgan then urged Starks to leave the AEW in favor of the WWE. He said that Ricky Starks is already a star in his eyes and WWE will help make him bigger. Morgan is right; Starks is definitely one of the AEW’s biggest stars and could benefit from a change in scenery. Some fans and experts have already speculated that Ricky could be on his way to the WWE once his contract ends.

Triple H could help Starks reach new levels as a wrestler. After the kind of luck he's been having lately, it wouldn't surprise anyone if Starks suddenly decided to jump ship.

Would WWE be the right move for Ricky Starks?

His friendship with Cody Rhodes could also be a deciding factor. The AEW star is often spotted hanging around the WWE back areas with his buddy, Rhodes. Cody has also mentioned that he would like to see Starks in the WWE someday. However, if Ricky leaves, Tony Khan might find himself under a lot of fire even though he’s stated that he looks forward to Starks’ return.

Fans already blame him for Ricky’s absence, and the noise will only grow louder if the company loses him for good. Even this could go one of two ways: with enough pressure from the fans, the AEW president might even get the urge to give Starks a good break.

However, Stark’s fan base might not have enough bandwidth to get that sort of reaction from the company. From the outside, his best option seems to be the WWE. He was the FTW champion at one point in his career, and there's nothing stopping Ricky from achieving success similar to that in the WWE. But if that doesn't work out, Starks could find himself without any options. So, he clearly has a big decision to make.

The longer Ricky stays away from the big screen, the louder his fans will grow. It'll be interesting to see where the 34-year-old ends up when his contract ends.
