VIVO X200 DETAILS TIPPED ONLINE, PHONE EXPECTED TO HAVE A SMALLER SCREEN THAN X100

Vivo is preparing to launch the Vivo X200 in the Indian market and leaks about its specifications have started to surface online. According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the X200 will introduce several new features and improvements over its predecessor, the X100, which was launched in November of last year. Notably, the X200 is expected to have a smaller screen, distinguishing it from the larger display of the X100. Read on to know all that we know about the phone so far.

Vivo X200 expected specifications

As per Digital Chat Station, the Vivo X200 is rumoured to feature a "relatively small" flat OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution, contrasting the 6.78-inch display of the X100. This compact design is also expected to include narrow bezels, enhancing the phone's sleek and modern look. The decision to reduce the screen size may be a strategic move by Vivo to differentiate the standard X200 from the Pro variant, which is expected to feature a larger 6.7 or 6.8-inch curved display.

Under the hood, the Vivo X200 could be powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset. This processor promises improved performance and efficiency, making the X200 a powerful device for everyday use and more demanding tasks like gaming and multitasking. The Dimensity 9400 chipset will be a significant upgrade from the previous generation.

The camera setup on the Vivo X200 is expected to be another highlight. The phone is likely to come equipped with a triple 50-megapixel camera system, including a periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. Vivo's self-developed imaging chip is expected to complement this advanced camera configuration, which aims to enhance photo and video quality.

In addition to this, the vanilla Vivo X200 is expected to feature an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, while the X200 Pro is expected to come with an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner. The optical sensor will provide quick and reliable unlocking, but the ultrasonic technology in the Pro variant will offer even faster and more secure authentication.

Details about the battery capacity of the Vivo X200 are still under wraps, but the Pro variant is rumoured to pack a larger battery than the 5,400mAh unit found in the X100 Pro. This suggests that Vivo is focusing on extending battery life, which is a critical feature for power users. Additionally, both the X200 and X200 Pro are expected to retain the IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, ensuring durability in various environments.

Vivo X200 expected launch date and price

Vivo is expected to announce the Vivo X200 and X200 Pro in October of this year. While specific pricing details have not been confirmed, the X200 Pro is expected to be priced above Rs 90,000, positioning it in the premium segment of the market. The standard X200, with its smaller screen, is expected to be at a lower price point. We will know more as we get closer to the launch date.
