SUDHA KONGARA WILL REVIVE 'PURNANOORU' WITH THESE TWO STARS

Sudha Kongara is one of the most promising directors in Tamil cinema, and her last directorial, 'Soorarai Pottru', bagged five National Film Awards. After the critically acclaimed 'Soorarai Pottru' with Suriya, Sudha Kongara announced her reunion with the actor, and the film was launched with the tentative title 'Purnanooru'. Nazriya Nazim was roped in as the female lead, while Dulquer Salman was roped in for a crucial role. But the film has hit the floor even a year after its official launch, and it has stirred up speculation. Suriya has reportedly stepped out of 'Purnanooru' citing creative differences, but the actor didn't have any conflict with Sudha Kongara as the two friends parted ways smoothly. According to Indiaglitz Tamil, Sudha Kongara is now planning to revive 'Purananooru' with Dhanush and Sivakarthikeyan.

Sudha Kongara, who didn't want to shelve her prestigious project, has reportedly approached Dhanush to replace Suriya, and she has also been in talks with Sivakarthikeyan to replace Dulquer Salman. The final talks for the revival of 'Purananooru' are on, and we can expect an official announcement on the film at the right time. 'Purnanooru' is reported to be based on the 1965 Hindi imposition movement that happened in Tamil Nadu.

Meanwhile, Sudha Kongara is getting ready for the release of 'Sarfira', the Hindi remake of the Tamil film 'Soorarai Pottru'. Akshay Kumar is reprising Suriya's role in the remake, while the latter is also making a cameo appearance in the Hindi remake.
