BTS' JIN CHOSEN AS TORCHBEARER FOR 2024 PARIS SUMMER OLYMPICS; DEPARTURE PLANS UNDERWAY

BTS' Jin is poised to take on a prestigious role as a torchbearer for the upcoming 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, according to a recent report from Dispatch. Scheduled to carry the Olympic torch on June 27, Jin's participation marks an important moment not only for himself but also for BTS fans worldwide. As preparations intensify, Jin is preparing to depart for France, although specific details regarding his travel arrangements and torch relay route have not yet been disclosed.

This comes as part of Jin's burgeoning activities following his recent military discharge, underscoring his return to the forefront of BTS' activities. Amidst his involvement in the torch relay, Jin is also reported to be actively engaged in recording new music, maintaining his multifaceted presence in both musical and global cultural spheres.

The Paris Olympic torch, ceremoniously ignited in Greece, commenced its journey through France last month. Covering a vast distance of approximately 12,000 kilometers and traversing over 400 locations, the torch's journey symbolizes unity and resilience ahead of the Games' opening ceremony on June 27.

Joining Jin as torchbearers are a diverse array of individuals, including renowned athletes, Holocaust survivors, families of Nice terror attack victims, astronauts, and frontline sanitation workers. The 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, set to span from June 27 to August 11, will host over 15,000 athletes representing 206 countries competing across 32 sports and 329 events. South Korea, fielding a contingent of up to 142 athletes across 21 sports, aims to excel particularly in disciplines like archery, fencing, badminton, and taekwondo. The Korean team's send-off ceremony is scheduled for July 9, highlighting national pride and anticipation for the games ahead.
