MEET MICHAEL ARKINSON, ROOKIE COP WHO ARRESTED JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE FOR DWI

The police officer who pulled ovre pop-singer Justin Timberlake for alleged drunk driving in The Hamptons has been identified as Sag Harbor's Michael Arkinson. The rookie cop was named on Timberlake's chargesheet. He stopped the hitmaker Tuesday mornig after allegedly seeing him blow a stop sign and get into the right lane.

Arkinson, according to a Daily Mail report, started off as a part-time traffic control officer while he was in high school. In 2017, he was earning less than $15 an hour. In 2022, the 24-year-old graduated the police academy and two years later he was promoted to full-time Sag Harbor officer.

The rookie lives in South Hampton, approximately 25 minutes from Sag Harbor. After arrestig Justin Timberlake, he noted that the singer performed 'poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests.' In his report, the officer also noted that the 43-year-old reeked from alcoholo and was unsteady on his feet. His speech was allegedly slow.

The Daily Mail quoted a local who once had been pulled over by Arkinson. "I explained to him that I was on speaker and I was just holding my phone, but he told me I should have been using a Bluetooth. I thought he would give me a break, and I was driving less than 25mph trying to get to the Y in East Hampton," the local, identified as Spencer, told the media outlet.
