MUNJYA BOX OFFICE COLLECTION: SHARVARI AND ABHAY VARMA STARRER CROSSED RS 75 CRORE!

The latest horror drama from Maddock has struck gold at the box office! Sharvari, Abhay Varma and Mona Singh starrer 'Munjya' has crossed the 75 crore milestone in 16 days.

In two weeks, the film had earned over Rs 68 crore and on its third Friday, the film earned Rs 3 crore and went on to add another Rs 5.5 crore to its total on Saturday. With these figures, the total collection of 'Munjya' stands at Rs 76.45 crore. Despite new releases like 'Ishq Vishk Rebound' and 'Chandu Champion', 'Munjya' has managed to stand strong in the face of competition.

'Munjya', featuring Mona Singh, Abhay Verma, Suhas Joshi, and Sathyaraj, delves into Marathi folklore. It revolves around the titular mythical creature and its disruptive impact on Bittu, portrayed by Abhay Verma, known for his role in The Family Man. 'Munjya' is part of Maddock Films' horror comedy universe, Stree (2018), Roohi (2021), and Bhediya (2022). It will be followed by 'Stree 2', starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, which will hit the screens on August 15.

Post 'Munjya', Sharvari will team up with Alia Bhatt for an action packed spy thriller. Speaking about the same, she had told ETimes, "When I met Alia after we knew that we're going to do this film, the first thing she said to me was that your Vedaa teaser looks extremely fun, and I can't wait to watch that film, and that was a big compliment for me. Just for her to remember it and share it with me made me feel much more confident around her. One knows she's a big star and I love her. She's my favorite actress and her statement made me very confident. So, for me I was also trying to find my footing around her but she's super cool. She just made it so easy and I'm very excited. "
