ANURAG KASHYAP ON HOW HE MET GULSHAN DEVAIAH FOR THE FIRST TIME: HE WAS DANCING ON MY TERRACE WITH KALKI

Anurag Kashyap and Gulshan Devaiah, who have shared the screen space in the action series ‘Bad Cop’, are busy with the promotions of their recently released series. Recently during a promotional spree, Anurag recalled the first time he met Gulshan Devaia.

In an interview with Instant Bollywood, Anurag was all praises for Gulshan Devaiah and talked about his favourite performance of the actor. He shared, “Some performances of his which for me was, for me the most incredible performance of Gulshan Devaiah is Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota because his transformation, his everything that he did, I did not expect that at all because at one time I was associated with that film as a producer, I would not have thought of it.”

Anurag, who has known Gulshan Devaiah for many years, talked about the incident when he first met him. Gulshan Devaiah. When I saw him for the first time as a person, when I decided to cast him in the film, I saw him dancing to Bachchan songs with Kalki because Kalki and he are friends and they were dancing to Bachchan songs on my terrace. That's how I remember. I see a lot of personality because he's also done fashion, he's always disapproving of my fashion.”

To which, Gulshan laughingly responded, “Today, definitely. Completely disapproving. Except for the Gucci glasses everything is crap.”

In the series, Anurag Kashyap has portrayed the role of a gangster and Gulshan Devaiah has once again played the role of a cop, following his roles in ‘Dahaad’ and ‘Duranga’. The series is reportedly a remake of RTL’s original German drama of the same name.

Helmed by Aditya Datt, ‘Bad Cop’ starring Gulshan Devaiah, Anurag Kashyap, Saurabh Sachdeva and Harleen Sethi is streaming from June 21 on Disney+ Hotstar.
