IN PICS: THE BEAUTIFUL MANGO FESTIVAL IN ISKCON, DWARKA

ISKCON Dwarka is set to host a vibrant Mango Festival at the Sri Sri Rukmini Dwarkadhish Temple in Dwarka, Delhi, commemorating the sacred Rath Yatra. This joyous event will showcase the rich cultural heritage and spiritual significance of the festival, while also highlighting the importance of mangoes in Indian tradition.

The festival will feature an extraordinary offering of 5100 kg of mangoes to Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra, followed by a grand aarti and distribution of mangoes as prasad to all attendees. The temple will be adorned with a stunning display of various mango varieties, and the altar will feature a beautiful yellow theme.

Shri Gaur Prabhu, Vice-President of the temple, shared, "Mangoes hold a special place in our culture and are a beloved fruit of Lord Jagannath. Our Mango Festival is a celebration of this special bond and an opportunity for devotees to savor a wide range of high-quality mangoes."

The festival will showcase over 20 varieties of mangoes, including rare and exotic types like Safeda, Dasheri, Langda, and Alphonso. This event promises to be an exciting experience for mango lovers and devotees alike, with a mango-eating contest adding to the day's excitement.

As the Rath Yatra unfolds, Shri Gaur Prabhu reflected on its significance in modern life, "Lord Jagannath's timeless wisdom offers valuable lessons for navigating today's challenges. By embracing detachment, humility, family, selfless service, impermanence, and faith, we can find peace and meaning in our lives. May the teachings of Lord Jagannath guide us toward a more compassionate and resilient world."

Join ISKCON Dwarka on July 7 for a unique celebration of faith, culture, and community, as they bring together the joy of mangoes and the spirit of Rath Yatra.
