The wait will be over in a few hours as the World Champions team India have jetted off from Barbados to land on the Indian soil. The men in blue are bringing the World Cup home as the have boarded the special chartered flight by Air India. If you want to track the flight that is bringing India's heroes back home, the call sign of the same is 'AIC24WC'. After the departure of the Air India chartered flight, the plane became the most-tracked flight on the flightradar website. Interestingly, the call sign represents India's World Cup triumph with 'AIC' representing 'Air India Chartered flight' and '24WC' representing the 'T20 World Cup 2024' triumph.
The victorious team India will land around 6:00 am on Thursday morning, 4th July in Delhi. The Indian team will have a jam-packed schedule as soon as they land in India. Team India will leave for PM Modi's house at 9:30 AM. After the meeting will conclude, the Men in Blue will take a chartered flight to Mumbai, where they will drive from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Airport to the Wankhede Stadium. Then there will be a 1 km long bus parade to the iconic stadium, followed by a small presentation where Rohit will hand over the T20 World Cup trophy to BCCI secretary Jay Shah.

Why a chartered plane was arranged?
Notably, the Indian team was stranded in Barbados after their T20 World Cup triumph due to Hurricane Beryl which had wreaked havoc in the Caribbean islands. The team India was advised to stay inside the hotel after their victory on June 29th, Saturday at the Kensington Oval, Barbados. With the weather finally clearing up a bit, a special chartered plane was arranged for the team alongside the Indian journalists stuck in Barbados for their return.
