VIRAT, HARDIK THANK PM MODI; BCCI GIFT PM SPECIAL 'NAMO' WORLD CUP CHAMPIONS JERSEY

The Indian cricket team visited PM Narendra Modi’s residence and met him in Lok Kalyan Marg in New Delhi for breakfast on Thursday. PM Modi congratulated the Men in Blue during the meeting that lasted for an hour. While meeting, the BCCI secretary Jay Shah and president Roger Binny presented a special 'NAMO' jersey to PM Modi.

The Rohit Sharma-led team came at No. 7, Lok Kalyan Marg at 11 am IST. All the players and the support staff departed from ITC Maurya after reaching the hotel. The likes of Rohit Sharma, Rahul Dravid, and Virat Kohli were also spotted cutting a special cake prepared by the chef at the hotel.

Post meeting PM Modi, senior Indian batter Virat Kohli took to his social media handle to show his elation.

He wrote, “Dear Narendra Modi sir, thank you so much for your very kind words and your support and encouragement always. It has been a privilege to be a part of this team which has brought the cup home. We are deeply touched & overwhelmed with the happiness it has bought the entire nation.”

India pacer Arshdeep Singh also shared a few pics where he was spotted with his parents alongside PM Modi.

“A memorable moment with PM Modi Sir. Thank you for your warm invitation and for celebrating this achievement with us. Proud to share this with my team and family”, he captioned.
