SPECIAL AIR INDIA CHARTERED FLIGHT ARRIVES IN BARBADOS TO TAKE TEAM INDIA HOME

A special chartered flight by Air India has arrived at Barbados Airport to bring the victorious team India back home after their T20 World Cup 2024 triumph. Notably, after winning the tournament, the Men in Blue have been left stranded in the nation due to Hurricane Beryl which has wreaked havoc in the Caribbean islands.

Keeping the destructive nature of the hurricane in mind, the team was advised to stay in their hotels and have been in the country ever since their victory on 29th June. Hence, with the weather finally clearing in Barbados, the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) has arranged a special chartered flight for the team to return home.

The Men in Blue are expected to take the flight later today and will touchdown in Delhi in early morning where they will be meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM Modi earlier also congratulated the team with through a phone call on their historic win.

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has also offered the stranded Indian media personnel in Barbados to travel with the team back home.
