TAYLOR SWIFT'S US ELECTION POST GETS 337,000 PEOPLE TO VISIT VOTER REGISTRATION LINK: REPORT

After the presidential debate between US Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump, the headlines were stolen by popular music star Taylor Swift, who endorsed Harris. Swift deemed Harris a "gifted leader" in an Instagram post. She also shared a link for voter registration which 337,000 people have used to visit the website, the General Services Administration, the overseer of the website told NBC News on Wednesday.

"Like many of you, I watched the debate tonight. If you haven't already, now is a great time to do your research on the issues at hand and the stances these candidates take on the topics that matter to you the most. As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country," Swift wrote.

The link Swift shared with her 283 million followers takes voters to a curated website where they can not only register to vote but also learn about the electoral process.

Swift also highlighted theincident from last month, when Trump shared an AI-generated image of Swifton his platform, Truth Social, urging voters to vote for Trump. Swift admitted that the incident made her realise that she needed to be "very transparent" about who she planned to vote for. "The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth," she said.

She then declared her intention to vote for Harris: "I am voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.
