PRABHAS’ KALKI 2898 AD MINTS NEARLY HALF A MILLION IN NORTH AMERICA IN ADVANCE BOOKING JUST A DAY BEFORE TRAILER’S RELEASE

After a long wait, the trailer of Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD starring Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani and Dulquer Salmaan is all set to release today. But the craze for the film has already caught on in a big way in North America ( United States of America and Canada) circuit, where advance booking for the film is opening up in a staggered manner. The film is slated to release on 27th June across the globe, but the first screening of the film will happen in the USA on 26th June.

It has only been about 4 days since the opening of advance booking, and the film has already collected nearly half a million dollars in collection. The film in the USA has currently sold about nearly 17000 tickets from 334 locations, having collected US $ 515,778 ( Rs 4.3 crore) and from Canada, the film has collected over US $ 39000, taking the total North America collection to US $ 555,000 .

Going by the past records, when RRR was about 17 days away from its release, it had collected US $ $535,602 ( Rs 4.47 crore ) and Salaar-Part 1- Ceasefire had collected US $423,983 ( Rs 3.5 crore) , so the craze for Kalki is very much in tandem with the buzz for RRR and Salaar. Over the past few years, the North America circuit has gone to become one of the most lucrative playgrounds for South Indian films. The movie had its first look unveiled at San Diego Comic Con last year, in the presence of Prabhas, Kamal Haasan and Rana Dagubbati. It will be having its premiere in the USA on 26th June.
