'AVENGERS 5': BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH, TOM HOLLAND AND OTHER ACTORS CLEAR SCHEDULES FOR JANUARY 2025 SHOOT

Five years after the release of 'Avengers: Endgame', fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have something to get excited about.

Rumour has it that Marvel Studios is prepping up to take 'Avengers 5' on floors as soon as next January. Unconfirmed reports doing the rounds claim that several actors who played prominent characters in 'Endgame', have reportedly been informed to keep their schedules open, indicating that the studio is moving forward with the first 'Avengers' movie since the culmination of the Infinity Saga.

The upcoming 'Avengers 5' is expected to feature a smaller team of superheroes, notably, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, and Anthony Mackie as Captain America. Buzz is that the Sorcerer Supreme will lead the team, following the events of 'Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness'.

While initial reports indicated the inclusion of the 'Fantastic Four', the new reports suggest that the characters will not feature in the film as it aims to focus on a more intimate group with familiar faces.

Marvel Studios has picked May 1, 2026, as the release date for 'Avengers 5', indicating that work on the project will begin shortly. The film will likely follow up on storylines from previous MCU projects, offering an opportunity to bring together key characters for another epic showdown.

'Avengers 5' was initially titled 'The Kang Dynasty'. However, with Jonathan Majors being axed from the project, word doing the rounds indicates that the film could see the heroes going up against the new supervillain Galactus.

The film will be followed by 'Avengers: Secret Wars' which is said to have many more characters swinging into action.
