Swift was singing 'The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived' from her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, on a platform with multiple tiers. The plan was for each tier to gradually descend. However, when the tiers failed to retract as intended, the pop star found herself stuck.

The backup dancer and Taylor handled the technical mishap with ease and the performance continued smoothly.

Fans reacted positively to how things panned out on stage as one of them wrote, "She is so princess." Another wrote, "I am so glad he helped." "The level of professionalism is unmatched," wrote yet another user.

During the same performance, Swift shared details about her Grammy-winning 2020 album Folklore. She told the audience that Ireland had a significant influence on this fantasy-themed album, created during the COVID-19 pandemic.
