UP TEEN COLLAPSES AFTER LEARNING HE SCORED 93.5% IN CLASS 10 BOARD EXAMS, HOSPITALISED

A 16-year-old student from Meerut collapsed upon learning of his exceptional score of 93.5% in the Uttar Pradesh Board Class 10 examinations.

Anshul Kumar, a student at Maharishi Dayanand Inter College Modipuram, had been eagerly anticipating his results, hopeful for a commendable outcome. However, what should have been a moment of celebration quickly turned into a distressing ordeal for the young student and his family, India Today reported.

The incident unfolded shortly after the UP Board announced the results on Saturday, revealing a pass percentage of 89.55% for Class 10 students and 82.60% for Class 12 students.

Sunil Kumar, Anshul's father, a contract worker at the post office, recounted the harrowing turn of events. "Anshul was overjoyed when he initially saw his result. However, moments later, he suddenly collapsed, leaving us all in shock," he told India Today.

Despite frantic efforts to revive him at home, the boy’s condition failed to improve, prompting his hospitalisation. He stabilised shortly after admission to the ICU and is now undergoing further treatment.

While several students have ended their lives in anxiety of results in the past, this incident highlights critical importance of establishing robust support systems to assist students in navigating the emotional rollercoaster associated with academic milestones.
