'UGLY FACE OF BALAK BUDDHI': BJP SLAMS RAHUL GANDHI OVER HIS HATHRAS VISIT

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a scathing attack on Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Friday over his recent visit to Hathras. Rahul Gandhi met with the family of the victims who died in a stampede at self-styled godman 'Bhole Baba'’s satsang in Hathras.

Calling it a politically-motivated move, BJP IT Department chief Amit Malviya questioned why Rahul Gandhi has not visited Tamil Nadu in the aftermath of the hooch tragedy. "More than 65 people died in Kallakurichi hooch tragedy in Tamilnadu. Let alone visiting the victims and their families, Third Time Fail Rahul Gandhi didn’t even post to commiserate. But he is in Hathras. This kind of politically expedient tragedy tourism is the ugly face of Balak Buddhi," said Malviya in a post on X.

65 people were killed in Tamil Nadu's Kallakurichi after consuming spurious liquor. Chief Minister MK Stalin-led Tamil Nadu government has announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to all the victims of the Kallakurichi hooch tragedy. However, a plea has been filed in the Madras High Court to strike sown the order of Rs 10 lakh compensation to all the victims of the Kallakurichi hooch tragedy, arguing that the victims were no activists or freedom fighters who have laid down their lives for a noble cause.

Rahul Meets Kins of Stampede Victims
