MICHIGAN TORNADO: PORTAGE FEDEX FACILITY COLLAPSES AFTER TWISTER | VIDEO

A tornado caused severe damage in Michigan's Portage on Tuesday. The FedeEx facility in the town collapsed after the twister passed through the town. The National Weather Service (NWS) issued tornado warnings for several west Michigan counties as the large tornado headed into Kalamazoo.

The National Weather Service Grand Rapids in a press release said that the tornado is extremely dangerous, moving east at 35 mph. Damage to buildings, public parks and several sites was reported on Tuesday. The FedEx facility in Portage collapsed but no injuries have been reported yet.

The FedEx facility in Portage is on 6180 Corporate Ave. Several social media users posted videos of the facility, warning other residents about the large tornado.

"Oh man. A FedEx building in Kalamazoo, Michigan has been decimated by a tornado. Reports are that parts of Portage have been leveled. If you’re in IL, IN, MI, WI, and IN, then be aware that the conditions are ripe for more tornadoes today," one person said on X, platform formerly known as Twitter.

"Recent footage reveals significant damage to a FedEx facility in Portage, Michigan, caused by a tornado. Additional reports confirm tornadoes forming in Colin and Kalamazoo, Michigan, as severe weather continues to impact the area," another one added.

Local media reports further added that over 25,000 Consumers Energy customers have been affected by the storm. The NWS warning for Kalamazoo, Westwood, Portage goes until 7 PM local time.
