JHARKHAND EX-CM HEMANT SOREN PREDICTS EARLY POLLS, SAYS BJP'S DREAM OF WINNING IS 'MUNGERILAL KE HASEEN SAPNE'

Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren predicted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be ousted from power in the upcoming state assembly elections. Speaking on Saturday, Soren mentioned receiving information that the elections might be held soon in the state. He further accused the saffron party of conspiring against him and said that the BJP's dream of winning the state elections is nothing but 'Mungerilal ke haseen sapne'.

"No one can hide the truth, it comes out sooner or later. I have come amongst you once again to provide you with leadership. I assure you that the results of the Lok Sabha elections have given strength to the natives and tribals of Jharkhand. I have received information that (Assembly) elections may be held earlier in the state, and we are ready for them," Soren addressed Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) workers at his residence.

'Revolt Against Those Who...': Soren Lashesh Out At BJP

He added that there would be a "revolt against those who plotted the conspiracy" to imprison him, and the "people of Jharkhand would not spare the BJP". Soren declared, "Time has come to put the last nail in BJP's coffin. In coming days, the BJP will be wiped out from Jharkhand".

Soren's statements came a day after his release from Birsa Munda Jail, where he was held in connection with a money laundering case. The state high court granted him bail, noting he was prima facie not guilty and there was no likelihood of him committing an offence while on bail.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had arrested Soren on January 31 as part of their investigation into the illegal possession of 8.36 acres of land.

Soren accused the BJP of controlling constitutional establishment but noted that the people had already taught the party a lesson in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections. "BJP's dream of winning assembly elections in Jharkhand will be 'Mungerilal ke haseen sapne'. The BJP is naming tribals as CMs in several states but they are just rubber stamps," he said.
