HYDERABAD WEATHER: IMD FORECASTS THUNDERSTORM, LIGHTNING DURING NEXT TWO DAYS; 'YELLOW' ALERT ISSUED

Hyderabad Weather Forecast:  A thunderstorm and lightning warning has been issued for the next two days by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Hyderabad. There will be thunderstorms, lightning, and storms in many Telangana districts on September 20 and 21, according to the meteorological service.

In addition, the agency has issued a yellow alert due to the anticipated weather.

Regarding Hyderabad, it is predicted that gloomy skies will persist until September 20. The IMD Hyderabad has also forecast light rain or thundershowers until Friday.

Telangana has received an average rainfall of 898.1 mm during the current Southwest monsoon, up from 668.6 mm in the previous year, representing a 34 percent increase.

Hyderabad experienced 703.6 mm of rainfall compared to the typical 548.8 mm, representing a 28 percent difference.

Within Hyderabad, Nampally saw an overabundance of rainfall, with 809.6 mm compared to the typical 543.3 mm—a 49 percent rise.

Given the two days of thunderstorms predicted by IMD Hyderabad, there is a good chance that the current Southwest monsoon may provide even more rainfall overall.

The monsoon rains have severely interrupted life in several places, creating considerable suffering. Due to late-night rainfall in several regions in North India, the temperature has fallen significantly. The rain has made conditions worse in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.

The water levels of the Ramganga, Kosi, and other rivers in Uttar Pradesh have reached dangerous levels, forcing the proclamation of a red zone in numerous communities. Floodwaters have disturbed existence in certain residential areas, prompting significant concern.
