'DEMON SLAYER KIMETSU NO YAIBA: INFINITY CASTLE ARC' TO BE LAUNCHED AS A TRILOGY - READ DEETS

The final episode of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba season 4 just premiered, and Crunchyroll has announced a three movie franchise for the Infinity Castle arc (excluding select Asian territories and Japan). No release dates have been confirmed yet but a trailer was published on June 30th 2024.

What can we expect from the Infinity Castle arc?The Demon Slayer anime has been very faithful to the manga so far, with a few differences during the season 3 finale. In the manga, the Infinity Castle arc is approximately 40 chapters, being the first half of the final battle arc. The movies will feature long-awaited battles between the main characters and many upper-rank demons, including ones never seen before in the anime. Tanjiro and his allies will have to make it through the shifting and confusing rooms of the Infinity Castle to eliminate as many demons as possible and beat Muzan Kibutsuji, the Demon King and progenitor of all demons.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - All you need to know about the showDemon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is an anime based on the manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge. It is directed by Haruo Sotozaki at the anime studio ufotable. It follows the story of a boy named Tanjiro, whose family is attacked and killed by demons, except his sister Nezuko, who gets corrupted and starts to turn into a demon. Tanjiro sets out on a journey to become a demon slayer in order to cure his sister and avenge his family.

The final episode of Season 4, Hashira Training Arc, premiered on June 30th, 2024. The Hashira Training Arc takes place after the Swordswith Village arc. The Demon Slayer Corps are preparing to take on the Demon King, Muzan. In order to help the Demon Slayers face Muzan, the leader of the Demon Slayer Corps, Kagaya Ubuyashiki, orders all the Demon Slayers to train vigorously for the fight, including the Hashira, the strongest members of the Corps.

Episode 8 of Season 4, The Hashira Unite, features the confrontation between Muzan and Kagaya. The two talk for about half the episode, while the Hashira are alerted of Muzan's presence at Kagaya's family's mansion and rush to help him. Kagaya blows up the mansion with him, his family, and Muzan inside, weakening Muzan and uniting the Hashira to fight against him. At the end of the episode, Muzan sends the Hashira to the Infinity Castle, along with Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Genya, and Tanjiro swears that he will definitely kill Muzan.
