ARVIND KEJRIWAL'S DEMANDS IN CBI CUSTODY: GITA, HOME-COOKED FOOD AND BELT

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was remanded to a three-day CBI custody on Wednesday in connection with the liquor policy case. Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court, while granting Kejriwal's custody to the probe agency, also accepted his request for some concessions during the custody period.

During custody, Kejriwal will be allowed to retain his spectacles, take prescribed medications, eat home-cooked food, keep a copy of the Bhagavad Gita, and meet his wife and relatives for one hour daily.

Additionally, Kejriwal had another request. The Chief Minister informed Special Judge Amitabh Rawat that when he was sent to jail in the case filed by the Enforcement Directorate, he forgot to mention his belt in the list of items he needed.

Kejriwal explained that since his belt was taken, he had to hold his pants while going to Tihar Jail, which he found "embarrassing."

The court granted Kejriwal's requests.

Kejriwal will be produced before the court by 7 pm on June 29.

Kejriwal, who is already in Tihar Jail in connection with a money laundering case, was formally arrested by the CBI on Wednesday.
