Kim Taehyung, widely known as V of BTS, has solidified his position as the most sought-after K-pop idol and Asian artist globally, topping Google's search rankings for the first half of 2024. From January 1 to June 30, 2024, data from Google Trends revealed Taehyung's dominance in online searches, reflecting his immense popularity and enduring influence in the music industry.

Despite currently serving in the military and being away from active promotional activities, Taehyung has consistently remained in the spotlight. His military service updates, including photos and pre-recorded content releases like the digital single ‘FRI(END)S’, have kept fans engaged and curious about his activities.

The list of top 15 most searched K-pop stars during this period also highlights other prominent names, with IU leading among female artists. V followed closely by Jungkook from BTS and soloist IU. Lisa and Jennie from BLACKPINK secure spots in the top five, with ASTRO's Cha Eunwoo rounding out the top six. BTS members continue to dominate with Jimin, Suga, Jin, and RM appearing in the list. BLACKPINK's Jisoo and Rosé also feature prominently, alongside aespa's Karina. Stray Kids' Hyunjin and IVE's Wonyoung complete the lineup, reflecting the global popularity and impact of these K-pop stars in the first half of 2024.
