VEDANTA DIVIDEND NEWS TODAY: 400% PAYOUT ANNOUNCED; CHECK RECORD DATE

Vedanta Dividend News Today: The big wait is over! Billionaire Anil Agarwal's metals-to-mining conglomerate Vedanta Ltd on Friday, July 26 announced a second interim dividend payout of 400 per cent on the face value of Re 1 each. This amounts to a dividend of Rs 4 per equity share.

"The Board of Directors of Vedanta Limited (the “Company”), at its meeting held today i.e. Friday, July 26, 2024, has considered and approved the Second Interim Dividend of ₹ 4/- per equity share on face value of ₹ 1/- per equity share for the Financial Year 2024-25 amounting to c. ₹ 1,564 Crores," Vedanta said in an exchange filing dated July 26.

Vedanta Dividend Record Date

Vedanta has set the record date for its upcoming dividend as August 3.

"As intimated earlier, the record date for the purpose of payment of dividend shall be Saturday, August 03, 2024, and the interim dividend shall be duly paid within the stipulated timelines as prescribed under law," the company said.

Vedanta Dividend History, Yield

Vedanta has a strong track record of rewarding its shareholders with dividends, having declared a total of 42 dividends post-listing.

Vedanta declared Rs 11, its first interim dividend for fiscal year 2024-25 earlier this year in May. In calender year 2023, the company paid dividends on four occasions - Rs 12.5 in February, Rs 20.5 in April, Rs 18.5 in May, and Rs 11 in December.

In 2022, the company paid dividends on four occasions - Rs 13 in March, Rs 31.5 in May, Rs 19.5 in July, Rs 17.5 in November.

Vedanta Share Price Today

Shares of Vedanta gained over 3 per cent on Friday, July 26 to trade at Rs 444.70 on the NSE, at the time of filing this report at 3 PM.

So far during the session, 2.62 lakh equity shares changed hands on the NSE and about 12.86 lakh shares on the BSE. During the session, the scrip touched an intraday high of Rs 448 and an intraday low of Rs 434.60 on the BSE.
