NSE WARNS INVESTORS AGAINST MAN OFFERING ASSURED RETURNS ON INVESTMENT; RELEASES HIS NUMBER, TELEGRAM CHANNEL

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) issued an advisory for investors on Wednesday warning about a person named Ajay Kumar Sharma who provides securities market tips for trading and assured returns on investment in stock market. Sharma, operating through mobile number 7878337029 and telegram channel Bharat Trading Yatra, also offers to handle trading accounts of investors by asking them to share their login ID/password.

“It may also be noted that the said person/entity is not registered either as a member or authorized person of any registered member of the National Stock Exchange of India Limited. Exchange has provided a facility of “Know/Locate your Stock Broker” under the link https://www.nseindia.com/invest/find-a-stock-broker on its website, to check the details of the registered member and its Authorized Persons,” the exchange said in an official release.

It added, “The investors are cautioned and advised not to subscribe to any such scheme/product offered by any person/entity offering indicative/assured/guaranteed returns in the stock market as the same is prohibited by law. Further, investors are advised not to share their trading credentials such as user id/password with anyone.”

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has come down heavily on such illegal services and also issued warnings to several entities.

The latest warning comes almost two months after NSE warned against two Telegram Channels named BANKNIFTY NIFTY Trading Option Rishib Dixit and Sureshot Trade.

The NSE warned investors in April that these channels were collecting funds from the public by promising guaranteed returns from stock market investments and offering illegal portfolio management services, which involve handling trading accounts after collecting login details from investors.
