SAMSUNG UNPACKED EVENT LIKELY TO TAKE PLACE ON JULY 10: SAMSUNG GALAXY Z FOLD 6, GALAXY Z FLIP 6 LAUNCH EXPECTED

Samsung Unpacked event likely to take place on July 10: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6 launch expected

The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked is all set to be held on July 10, as per a South Korean website. In the unpacked event, Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 6, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 as well as the highly anticipated Galaxy ring. The physical launch event will take place in Paris, as per the report.

Last year, Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 on July 26 and released them in August.

The current Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is available in Icy Blue, Cream, and Phantom Black. It has three storage options: 12GB RAM + 256GB storage for Rs 1,54,999, 12GB RAM + 512GB storage for Rs 1,64,999, and 12GB RAM + 1TB storage for Rs 1,84,999. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 comes in Mint, Cream, Graphite, and Lavender. It offers two storage options: 8GB RAM + 256GB storage for Rs 99,999, and 8GB RAM + 512GB storage for Rs 1,09,999.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 runs on Android 13 with Samsung's OneUI 5.1.1 interface. Its frame is constructed from robust Armor Aluminum, ensuring durability. The device features two screens: a 6.7-inch main screen with a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth, clear visuals, and a 3.4-inch cover screen for quick access to notifications and basic information. Both screens are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform designed for Samsung, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 includes 8GB of RAM, enabling it to handle multiple apps seamlessly. The phone has a dual-camera setup on the back, consisting of a wide-angle camera and a standard camera, along with a front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. Users can choose between 256GB or 512GB of internal storage, providing ample space for photos, videos, and applications. The device supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC connectivity options.

Despite its many features, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 lacks dust resistance, so users should be cautious in dusty environments. The phone includes various sensors, such as those for movement, orientation, and brightness, enhancing its functionality. Additionally, it features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for secure and convenient unlocking.

Samsung's foldable phones face increasing competition in the market. While Samsung once dominated, other Android brands like OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo, and Honor are now entering the foldable smartphone arena. Vivo is the latest to launch its foldable phone in India, claiming it to be the thinnest in the world. As competition heats up, Samsung continues to innovate and expand its foldable lineup to maintain its market position.

Samsung is gearing up for the mid-July release of its Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, continuing its tradition of innovation in the foldable smartphone market.
