GOOGLE PIXEL 9 LEAK ROUNDUP: DESIGN, COLOURS, AI FEATURES AND EVERYTHING WE KNOW

Google Pixel 9 series is set to launch in India and other parts of the world on August 13. Google has confirmed the release of Google Pixel 9 and Google Pixel 9 Pro. In a teaser, it was revealed the back panel design of these two devices. The teaser also gives out information that the premium variants will be heavily integrated with its AI, Gemini. The launch will take place at 10.30PM IST. Barring these details, there is nothing announced officially. However, there are many rumours and leaks doing the rounds on the internet. The latest leak reveals the colours and complete design of the Google Pixel 9 series.

Google Pixel 9: Leaked colours and design

According to the 91mobiles report, the Google Pixel 9 series might come in 4 new colours: Dark grey, light grey, off-white and pink. The pink back panel was reported by India Today Tech, week ago. It is certain that these will not be the marketed names for the variants. The leak also suggests that while the frame of the devices will be glossy, the back panel will have a matte texture.

This is not it. The report also mentions that the new camera island will have a distinct appearance. While the cameras on the back panel were revealed in the official teaser, the leak gives out information about every devicefeaturing in the Google Pixel 9 series. The Pro models could have three lenses and the regular Pixel could have two lenses. More on the sensors later. The camera island is shaped like a rectangle with rounded corners on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. On the non-foldable (Pixel 9), it is oblong-shaped.

The front panel of the devices most probably will feature a punch hole display.

Google Pixel 9: Gemini features

Google has so far only indicated that the upcoming devices will be heavily integrated with Gemini AI features. Following the same pace, it has been speculated that these devices will have a range of other AI features as well.

Google promises seven years of security updates and Pixel Drops (software updates with new Pixel-exclusive features). The new Pixel will feature Pixel Screenshots, which resembles the goodness of Microsoft's Recall feature. With this feature, the user can save info that you want to remember later – like events, places and more. You can open Pixel Screenshots later to find what the users are forgetting or missing.

Users will also get Emergency SOS with the upcoming Pixel 9 series. The feature is meant to shoot crisis alerts about nearby fires or floods. It also claims to thwart malware and phishing scams.

Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold: What do we know so far

Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold is the second foldable device by Google, but the first one to arrive in India. It is expected that the upcoming device will feature a much larger display over its predecessor, Google Fold. The new foldable phone is expected to sport an inner display measuring 8-inches diagonally. It is not only an upgrade from 7.4-inches on Fold 1, but also stands as a great competitor. The new display will apparently feature a resolution of 2152 x 2076, hit 1,600 nits of peak brightness and support a 120Hz refresh rate. The Google Fold featured a disappointingly dim 1,000 nits.

Although the teaser doesn't reveal the camera on the inner screen, rumours indicate that the phone will feature a punch-hole camera on the left side of the screen, a design upgrade from the first fold's bezel-mounted camera, made possible by the reduced bezel size.
