The Google Pixel 8 and the Pixel 8 Pro, the company's latest flagship phones, have some unique software features such as Magic Editor, Video Boost, and Audio Magic Editor. Initially, these features were limited to the Pixel 8 series. However, Google recently announced that it would bring Magic Editor to older Pixel phones

To give you a quick recap, Magic Editor is a set of various image editing and enhancement tools that lets users move subjects, resize and erase parts of a photo and apply some unique filters that look realistic.

However, Google seems to have restricted the number of times you can save an image or video to 10 per month. To get around these restrictions, users can either buy a Pixel 8 series device or subscribe to the 2TB or higher Google One plan.

The new free Magic Editor features are currently available on some Pixel 7 and Pixel 6 series phones. However, reports suggest that Google is still rolling out the new feature, so it might take some time before it is visible on your phone. In the coming months, Google says that Magic Editor will eventually be available for all Google Photos users, even those using the app on iOS-powered devices.

Apart from Magic Editor, other AI-powered photo editing features such as Photo Unblur, Magic Eraser, and Portrait Light will also be available on all Android devices. Make sure to keep your Google Photos app updated.
