MOLLYWOOD ACTRESS KANAKALATHA PASSES AWAY AT 63 AFTER BATTLE WITH PARKINSON'S AND DEMENTIA: REPORT

Actress Kanakalatha breathed her last at the age of 63 on Monday, May 6th, at her residence in Thiruvananthapuram. She reportedly suffered from Parkinson's disease and Dementia since 2021.

The great South Indian actress appeared in over 350 films and more than 50 TV serials. She also worked in many Tamil films. She entered the realm of cinema with her exceptional talent in theater, having been involved in theater and drama since ninth standard.

Her realistic performance in some unique Malayalam films, including 'Chillu', 'Kariyilakkattu Pole', 'Jagratha', 'Kireedam', 'Spadikam', and 'Harikrishnans', are truly valuable. Kanakalatha shared the screen with Prithviraj Sukumaran in the 2006 film 'Pakal'. He took to his Instagram stories to share a picture and pray for her soul to rest in peace. The Malayalam industry lost two great talents on the same day, yet hopes for their extraordinary careers to inspire more people and artists.
