BTS’ JIN WILL NOT APPEAR ON VARIETY SHOW 'I LIVE ALONE'

Recent reports about Jin, the oldest member of BTS, appearing on the popular variety show 'I Live Alone' have been retracted, leading to a mix of excitement and confusion among fans. On July 2, 2024, it was initially reported that Jin would join the show following his appearance on 'The Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island'. However, this information was later deleted by the South Korean media outlet Jeonmae Korea, retracting their initial announcement.

On July 3, 2024, Jeonmae Korea removed the phrase from its article that stated Jin would be featured on MBC’s 'I Live Alone'. This variety show is well-known for offering a glimpse into the daily lives of celebrities who live alone, providing an intimate look at their routines and personal spaces. The retraction has left fans curious about Jin’s actual future television appearances.

Jin, whose full name is Kim Seokjin, is a singer, songwriter, and the oldest member of BTS. Known for his melodious vocals, he has carved out a significant niche in the K-pop scene. Before enlisting in the military, he debuted as a soloist with the single 'The Astronaut' on October 28, 2022.

After completing his mandatory military service, Jin was discharged on June 12, 2024, just a day before BTS’ 11th anniversary, FESTA Day. The discharge was celebrated with all BTS members taking leave to welcome him back. On June 13, 2024, Jin held a special FESTA Day event where he gave ‘light hugs’ to 1000 ARMYs and performed an extended version of his hit single 'Super Tuna'.

Despite the confusion regarding his appearance on 'I Live Alone', Jin has several exciting projects in the pipeline. He recently posted on Weverse, an online platform for artist-fan interactions, indicating his enthusiasm to welcome fellow BTS member j-Hope, who is set to be discharged from the military in October 2024. Jin also mentioned that he has no plans to pursue acting, focusing instead on creating new content, participating in variety shows, and producing new music.

One of the most anticipated events is Jin’s role as South Korea’s torchbearer in the upcoming Paris Olympics 2024. This prestigious position highlights his influence and the respect he commands both within and outside the K-pop industry.
