RAJINIKANTH'S 'THALAIVAR 171' TITLE TEASER ON APRIL 22

Earlier in December 2023, director Lokesh Kanagaraj revealed that he was going to take a break from social media to focus on his next project 'Thalaivar 171' starring Superstar Rajinikanth. While there have been various reports regarding the film's progress, the makers have now officially announced that title and teaser of the film will be revealed on April 22, 2024.

Produced by Sun Pictures, 'Thalaivar 171' will be written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj with music scored by Anirudh. The production house posted, "The much awaited #Thalaivar171 update is here! Title revealing teaser from April 22nd 💥"

The poster has a stylish Rajinikanth handcuffed with a chain of wrist watches and a mechanical parts of watch in background. Looks like the film's story will be some one the lines of race against time.

The movie is likely to hit the silver screens by January or Summer 2025 and Lokesh Kanagaraj has already revealed that the film will be a standalone film and not part of his LCU. The maverick director had recently revealed that the pre-production work is on and that the film will go on floors in June.
