NAG ASHWIN REVEALS MAJOR UPDATES ABOUT THE SEQUEL OF PRABHAS-STARRER 'KALKI 2898AD': 'WE SHOT ABOUT 25 OR 30 DAYS, BUT..'

Director Nag Ashwin is currently enjoying the unstoppable success of ‘Kalki 2898AD’ at the box office. Movie enthusiasts are eager to know the future setup of the narrative and the second part of the film. Recently, the director revealed exciting details about the highly anticipated sequel.

In a recent interview with Variety, Ashwin shared his vision for ‘Kalki 2898 AD Part 2’. He mentioned that around 25 to 30 days of shooting have already been completed, but much of the action remains. Ashwin described the sequel as a nearly new production, promising that all loose ends from the first film will be tied up. He emphasized the significance of the upcoming face-off between three key characters: Yaskin (Kamal Haasan), now wielding the divine Gandiva, and the formidable warriors Karna and Ashwatthama.

Ashwin also discussed the extensive world-building involved in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. Initially, the team aimed to complete the project within India. However, as the scale and complexity of the film became apparent, they collaborated with several international companies to achieve their ambitious goals.

The film has reportedly crossed an impressive Rs 700 crore in all languages worldwide.
