KALKI 2898 AD'S BOX OFFICE COLLECTION: THE MEGA-BUDGET DRAMA FACES A WEEKDAY RESTRICTION IN TAMIL NADU

'Kalki 2898 AD' is now available in theaters across the globe, and the pan-Indian drama is available in multiple languages. After opening with positive reviews from critics and audiences, the epic science fiction drama started its box office campaign with an extensive note, and the film earned over Rs 500 crore in 4 days. But the film faces a weekday struggle as the box office numbers have been falling deep day by day, and it's another moderate day for the film on day 7 (Wednesday). According to Sacnilk, 'Kalki 2898 AD' grossed around Rs 30 crore in India on day 7, while the numbers for the film in Tamil Nadu stand at around Rs 1.5 crore for the day.

In Tamil Nadu, 'Kalki 2898 AD' grossed close to Rs 27 crore to end the first week, and the film is set to add more numbers to its tally during the second weekend. 'Kalki 2898 AD' managed to retain most of its screens for the second week, and the no big release across languages turns out to be a bonus for the pan-Indian drama. The Telugu and Hindi versions are the top securers among the released languages, and the high-budget drama is emerging to evolve as the highest-grossing Indian film.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, 'Kalki 2898 AD' has Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, Shobana, and Anna Ben, among others, and the film has music composed by Santhosh Narayanan. Several popular stars have appeared in cameo roles in the science-fiction drama, and it helped the film well.
