FAMILY STAR TRAILER: VIJAY DEVERAKONDA AND MRUNAL THAKUR’S FILM PROMISES TO BE A WHOLESOME ENTERTAINER
Telugu star Vijay Deverakonda unveiled the trailer of his upcoming film Family Star on Thursday. Going by the promo, the movie is tailor-made to appeal to youngsters, who are the core audience of Deverakonda's films. As the title suggests, Family Star is about a working-class hero from a middle-class family who falls for a girl. Though the trailer doesn't reveal much about the plot, it is hinted that the hero's life takes a huge turn after he meets the girl.
The conflict of the film is also not revealed. There is a villain, but his relevance to the hero's arc is currently under wraps.
Parasuram, who directed Vijay Deverakonda in Geetha Govindam, is known for creating enjoyable comedy drama around the cat-and-mouse games between the hero and heroine, and going by the trailer, it looks like Family Star is also about one such relationship. The film will also cater to fans who love Deverakonda for being the hot-headed young man as it features plenty of fights.
The family portion of the movie is reminiscent of Vijay Deverakonda's Arjun Reddy for the equation the actor shares with his grandmother. Similarly, it also gives the same feel as Nani's Gang Leader.

Also starring Dhivyansha Khaushik, Jagapati Babu, and Jabardast Ramprasad, Family Star has music by Gopi Sundar. Produced by Dil Raju, the technical crew of the film consists of cinematographer KU Mohanan, art director AS Prakash, and editor Mathand K Venkatesh.
