'KALKI 2898 AD’ BOX OFFICE COLLECTION DAY 8 (MALAYALAM): NAG ASHWIN'S DYSTOPIAN SCI-FI FILM STARRING PRABHAS EARNS RS 7 LAKH
Nag Ashwin’s directorial ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ featuring Prabhas in the lead role has completed a week in the cinemas, and it has collected Rs 414.25 crore from India, according to a report by Sacnilk, and the worldwide collection has crossed Rs 700 crore.
On the eighth day in the theatre, Thursday, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ made Rs 22.3 crore from the theatres. The Malayalam version contributed Rs 7 lakh on Thursday, according to early estimates. On Thursday, July 4, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ had an overall 16.85 percent Malayalam occupancy. The morning shows recorded 9.73 percent Malayalam occupancy, while the afternoon, evening, and night shows saw 16.75 percent, 16.25 percent, and 24.66 percent respectively.
Helmed by Nag Ashwin, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has an ensemble cast of Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. Actors Shobhana, Keerthy Suresh, Anna Ben, Pasupathy, Saswata Chatterjee, SS Rajamouli, Brahmanandam, Rajendra Prasad, Gaurav Chopra, and Malvika Nair, are also part of the cast.
ETimes rated ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ 3 out of 5 and wrote, “‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is undeniably a larger-than-life visual spectacle that transports viewers into a vividly imagined universe. In fact, the film’s visual quality is so high that it overshadows many of its obvious flaws by engaging the audience into the atmospherics of the make-believe world of Kasi and the Complex. Moreover, it's a concept that can spark imaginative experiences beyond the cinema. If you enjoy diving into a world of epic battles between Gods, good, and evil, then 'Kalki 2898 AD' offers quite a satisfying audio-visual experience, even though it may require some patience.”
