Kalki 2898 AD box office collection day 5: The Prabhas-starrer Kalki 2898 AD was released in theatres on Thursday, and has grossed Rs 555 crore worldwide in just four days. But the epic sci-fi film witnessed a significant drop in its collections on its first Monday. On its fifth day of release, Kalki 2898 AD made Rs 34.6 crore crore nett in India, which takes the film's domestic nett collection to a total of Rs 343.6 crore after five days, as per industry tracker Sacnilk.

The nett collections of the film in India fell by over 60 percent from Sunday to Monday. On Sunday, Kalki 2898 AD made Rs 88.2 crore. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film was released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. Kalki has enjoyed the majority of its success in Telugu regions so far. On Sunday, the Telugu version of Kalki made Rs 38.8 crore, which dropped to Rs 14.5 crore on Monday, recording a decrease of 62.6 percent. The occupancy in Telugu on Monday stood at 47.18 percent.

In Hindi, the film collected Rs 40 crore on Sunday but dropped down to Rs 16.5 crore on Monday, recording a decrease of 58.7 percent. So far, Kalki 2898 AD has collected Rs 182 crore nett and Rs 128 crore nett in Telugu and Hindi, respectively, in India.

The makers also announced the collections of film in various international territories. Kalki 2898 AD made 1,247,662 ruble in Russia, 251,287 euro in Germany, 64,296 euro in Ireland, 53,300 euro in France, 43,220 krone in Norway, 81,500 Polish zloty in Poland through the first weekend. In North America, Kalki 2898 AD made $11 million during its first weekend.

Kalki is the highest-grossing Indian film of 2024 so far. It delivered the third-biggest domestic opening of all time, behind Baahubali 2 and RRR. After five days, Baahubali 2 had collected Rs 705 crore at the global box office, and RRR had collected Rs 618 crore. The Yash-starrer KGF 2 had collected Rs 609.7 crore.

The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Disha Patani. It also features cameos by SS Rajamouli, Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Deverakonda among others.
