Mitchell Santner-led New Zealand will host Shai Hope's West Indies in the first T20I of the five-match series on Wednesday (November 5). The opening game of the series will be played at the Eden Park from 11:45 AM IST. WI are on a full-fledged tour of New Zealand and both teams will lock horns in all three formats. The series will kick off with 5 T20Is.

The five games will be played on November 5, 6, 9, 10 and 13. The first 2 T20Is will be played at the Eden Park while the next two games will take place in Nelson. The fifth and final T20I will be held in Dunedin.

The 3 ODIs will take place on November 16, 19 and 22 in Hagley Oval, Napier and Hamilton, respectively. They will also lock horns in 3 T20Is. Hagley Oval will host the first Test from December 2 to 6.

The second Test match will be played in Wellington from December 10 to 14. The third and final Test of the series will take place in Mount Maunganui from December 18 to 22.

The T20I series between the two teams is of utmost importance as there's a T20 World Cup scheduled to be played early in 2026. NZ have never won the T20 WC.

West Indies are two-time T20 World Cup champions. They won their T20 WC title with a win over Sri Lanka in 2012. In 2016, Carlos Brathwaite's heroics with the bat propelled WI to their second T20 WC title win. Brathwaite hit Ben Stokes for 4 back-to-back sixes to complete the chase for WI.
