EARTHQUAKE IN CALIFORNIA? TREMORS FELT IN DALY CITY, SAN FRANCISCO AND SAN MATEO

California was hit by a minor 3.7 magnitude earthquake early on Friday, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The tremors were felt in the Bay Area at 7:02 AM local time. The agency's Survey Shake Map indicated that the epicenter was near the San Francisco Zoo. Currently, there are no reports of injuries or damage.

Several users on X (formerly Twitter) mentioned that the earthquake woke them up. Tremors were also felt in San Mateo, Oakland, Alameda, Richmond, and Berkeley.

Reporting the quake, one person tweeted: "Just jolted out of bed by an earthquake. Anyone else in the Bay Area feel it?"

"An #earthquake hit the San Francisco Bay Area early today, with significant shaking felt by residents in San Francisco, South San Francisco, Daly City and San Carlos," another one added on the Elon Musk-led platform.

"Now California is being warned of a major earthquake...." a third person posted.
