DELHI POWER CUT ON JUNE 11: SUPPLY SHUTDOWN IN NARELA, PITAMPURA AND KIRADI AREAS ON WEDNESDAY; CHECK TIMINGS

Delhi Power Cut: Delhi Power Cut: Electricity distribution companies have released a list of areas that will be affected by power cuts in Delhi on June 11, Wednesday. As per power distribution company, the electricity supply will be cut for maintenance and project work.

As Delhi-NCR battles an intense spell of heat, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for the next two days, warning of extreme temperatures likely crossing 45 degrees Celsius. The alert underscores the seriousness of the heatwave, urging people to take precautions as conditions could become health-threatening.

Delhi Power Cut Areas

There will be a two hour power cut from 7 am to 9 am in the Old GT Road area of Narela in Delhi due to maintenance work.

There will be a four hour power cut from 7 am to 11 am in Block B and C of MIA, Pitampura in view of maintenance work.

There will be a four hour supply cut from 8 am to 12 noon in Madanpur village of Kiradi area of Delhi. Project work will be done during this time.

Delhi’s Safdarjung Observatory, the city's official weather station, recorded 43.4 degrees Celsius, which is three degrees above normal. With the added humidity, the "feels-like" temperature or heat index spiked to a sizzling 49 degrees Celsius, making outdoor conditions extremely uncomfortable.

IMD has urged residents to stay indoors during peak afternoon hours, stay hydrated, and avoid prolonged sun exposure. The combination of high daytime heat and humid nights is especially taxing and could lead to heatstroke or other health risks.
